If you haven't heard, there's going to be a show for the Marvel superhero pair, Cloak and Dagger. The show will be on Freeform (formerly ABC Family) and they just released a trailer for it. From what we saw, this will be different from the current Marvel shows with this one looking to be more focused on "drama" than the superhero stuff. That's not to say there won't be any action, as we can see the two finding out about their powers while on the run from someone. Might be just the thing for that one person out there who wasn't really feeling the Marvel television shows up until this point, and it's looking to show a side to the superhero business we haven't seen much of yet.
Cloak and Dagger, while a bit more obscure, are a really cool pair of heroes. Cloak can transport himself and others through a shadow dimension, which he can use to teleport to places or leave people in a black void. On top of that, he can make himself intangible and can feed on the "light" of people he fights. His powers make him crave sources of "light," but this is where Dagger comes in. Dagger can create daggers (get it?) made of light which she can send out wherever she wants. She can use her light abilities to assuage Cloak's hunger and she can heal people of other "hungers," like drug addiction. The two were made for each other, so a romance show that features the pair does make a lot of sense. No word on a release date beyond 2018, but you can at least watch the trailer down below.
